Hybrid modeling tools for single step creation of the core and cavity and its parting surfaces together with draft angles and shut offs make it easy to build the mold geometry. A library of standard mold base components allows the addition of parts such as slides, lifters, ejector pins and cooling channels. Multiple electrode extraction speeds up preparation times for die sinking operations. Organized into a logical sequence, the software guides users through the mold creation process and enables them to interrogate, animate and analyse the design, to ensure that it is manufacturable and functional, ready for transfer to the ZW3D CAM module for CNC machining.
